Pag, the main settlement on the island, is situated in a bay abounding
in picturesque small beaches for a total of 20 km.
The town was built in 15th. century by Juraj Dalmatinac, the famous
architect ans sculptor, and is an outstanding example of a well-preserved
mediaeval community. Outstanding monuments: the Cathedral, the Rector´s
Palace, the Tower, remains of the old city walls.
For many centuries Pag has been known for its lace and famous Pag
chees.
