| Skrad (700 m) is one of the famous mountainous, medical and tourist resort located in the heart of Gorski kotar: it is the centre of the commune with 1900 inhabitants. The place is scattered on the slopes of Skradski vrh, surrounded by the thick forest (decidouos and coniferous), seen from remotes mountains. Due to its extraordinary geographic location, mild climate, as well as to its natural phenomena (Vrazji prolaz - The Evil Cross and Zeleni vir - The Green Whirlpool) it is an attractive place for rest and recreation throughout the year.
