The commune of Delnice is already well known as a tourist resort (center).
Its hunderd years old tradition of vacation, medical, sport and recreatinal tourism,
as well as hunting tourism has established Delnice with its pituresque background
as one of the most attractive region of Gorski Kotar.

It is located on the Rijeka-Zagreb highway,
only an hour away from the attractive summer resorts of Kvarner Bay.

Delnice is well known as one of the menagment centers of the state enterprise Croatian Forests.
They are partly in charge of the hunting region in Gorski Kotar. The Menagment of Croatian Forests
will provide potential hunters with appropriate equipment and offer accomodation in one of its hunting lodges.
There is national park Risnjak in the close vicinity of Delnice. Its flora and fauna comprises in an unique way
most specific features of the Gorski Kotar in general.The park is protected by the Gouverment and is already
well known for its natural beauty and specific temperature phenomena, as well as for its "educational path".
